Beach Time.....
After our late night we had a bit of a sleep in till 10am which was lovely. Unfortunately my belly still has not recovered and emergency evacuations are still required....lol. We headed off on the bike to the main road to look for a late breaky and went to a little local place for some crying tiger and fried rice. We decided it was a nice day for the beach so we headed back to the hotel and across the road to find a spot to lay down. Tanya is wanting to even up her motorbike tan so laid in the sun while I don't really care about my weird tan so I stayed in the shade. We only stayed for about an hour and a half as we get bored pretty quickly. Back to the room for showers and a few bevvies in the airconditioning then off again on the bike to find dinner. We rode up and down the main road and I spotted a side road that had restaurants in it so we ventured down there to see what was there. There were quite a few places and we ended up settling for an all you can eat Thai BBQ place. You get a metal container full off red hot coals and a dish that sits on top that you cook your little bits of meat in the middle which is raised above where the soup is....yes it sounds weird and is hard to explain but if you google Thai BBQ there are images there to see or you can see the pics on my facebook. We left there and thought a walk on the beach would be nice. While walking on the beach we have decided that Kamala is not quite the same as it was 2 years ago. We know things change but it is a little disappointing as we loved it so much last time. It is still very quite but they are putting up alot of new restaurants on the beach and there are heaps of shops that were not there before. Even the beach isn't as nice as there is alot of rubbish and the sand is really coarse and hard to walk on. The prices of everything from accommodation to food has gone up alot as well. We have paid for a week at our hotel and are happy to stay here till then but we will move on after that. Time for a cuppa and a night cap or two (for Tanya, not me) and a bit of Aussie T.V to end the night. Bike riding adventures up the coast tomorrow so stay tuned.
Alvo xoxo
